The Forestry Services Ltd Group Certification scheme will ensure traceability of all timber harvested from their members plantations.

All forest management systems are independently certified to provide assurances to customers that all wood has come from well managed forests that are environmentally, sociably and economically responsible. Sustainable forest management will be confirmed in accordance with internationally and nationally agreed framework of standards of two well-known schemes operating in Ireland. Due to strict trademark rules authorisation is required to quote these bodies. Forestry Services Groups Certification Scheme will be available to new members in Summer 2019.

Forestry Services personnel have be trained by two Certification Bodies Soil Association and NEPCON. All personnel have the relevant qualifications to manage the scheme in compliance to the standards. As part of continuous professional development there will be ongoing training for staff and members in keeping with the scheme rules.
