Sár Camán Teo was established in 2005 by Forestry Services Ltd., a company which establishes and manages large acreages of forestry plantations, both their own and for farmer clients. Because many of these plantations contain a large percentage of ash they got the idea of taking the process a step further and actually start making hurleys.

Sár Camán Teo is the only hurley company to make all of their hurls from native Irish ash. It is also one of only a handful of hurley manufactures that look after every stage of production, from harvesting the butts through to producing the finished article.
